X Factor USA Show Highlights & Videos from 10/17 – The Top 16?

Tonight we were supposed to get the top 16, but alas it was not to be. They start with Britney’s group. She had the teens. Diamond White, Carly Rose Sonenclar, Arin Ray and Beatrice Miller made it through to the Top 16. James Tanner (the teen rapper) and Reed Deming are sent home. James is devastated that he is being sent home. He walks off the stage crying and Britney feels so bad. She was quoted as saying, “This is horrible.” Britney lets Reed know that he just needs more vocal training. Even though Beatrice made it through to the Top 16, Britney still isn’t sure that she can handle the pressure.

Now it is time for LA Reid’s turn. He has the over 25 group. He says that even though he didn’t want the over 25 group, once he heard them sing he now believes his group is very strong. The ones who went through to the Top 16 are David Correy, Jason Brock, Tate Stevens and Vino Allan. Daryl Black and Tara Simon are sent packing. Jason had just been terminated from his job that morning. LA believes that he has an incredible voice but he is not impressed with his image.

Next up is Demi Lovato and her group of young adults. Those that she put through to the Top 16 are Jennel Garcia and Willie Jones. Demi tells Jennel that she has a great voice but she needs to work on her insecurities. Willie Jones has a unique voice but Demi isn’t such which genre he is portraying. Is he a country singer or is he an R&B singer?

The show tonight was delayed and cut short because a baseball game was halted due to rain. The game was supposed to start at 10:05 Eastern Standard Time so not only was the show late to start but it was also cut short. So X Factor will re-air again from start to finish on Tuesday night, 10/23/2012.
