X Factor USA Show Highlights & Videos from 11/8 – First Results

Tonight is a live show that will feature a set of musical performance by the hit group, One Direction. They open the show with their hit song Live While We’re Young. Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian, the show’s hosts, interview the band members. Pretty predictable when one of the band members stated how much he liked Drew Brees. We all knew he would show up somewhere. Lo and behold appears Drew by satellite. Then there are endless minutes of recaps, the contestants backstage and Simon and Demi arguing over something stupid as usual.

Finally after all that, it is time to get on with the show. The judges all show up on stage with their respected contestants. There are 6 contestants deemed safe. They are Arin Ray, Diamond White, Jennel Garcia, Emblem3, Paige Thomas and Vino Alan. Looks like tonight is starting as pretty predictable because the ones named safe were pretty much expected to be safe.

One Direction take center stages again to see their newest song Little Things. And then more results are up. Five more contestants are deemed safe and they are Carly Rose, Tate Stevens, Lyric 145, Fifth Harmony and Beatrice Miller. So that leaves CeCe Frey and Jason Brock as the bottom 2. Again, not much of a surprise. So they both have to sing to stay in this competition. CeCe sings You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me. She is dramatic but not really her best performance. Jason Brock takes on Total Eclipse of the Heart. He definitely did better than CeCe but I don’t think he has what it takes to be part of the X Factor. He doesn’t outdo himself; very controlled numbers.

The judges cast their votes. Demi and Simon want Jason to go home LA and Demi are ready to send CeCe packing. Looks like the jury is deadlocked on this one. So they turn to the votes and the one with the lowest votes is going on home. Mario Lopez reveals that Tate Stevens received the highest number of votes and Jason Brock received the least number of votes. So CeCe is moving on in the competition while Jason heads home.
